I am so glad about the subject of lens artists challenge this week. I went for a short photo walk today. the colours of autumn are setting in the south of England. The green is leaving and the skies are turning grey ( well, they were grey to begin with, this is England ).
I clicked some close up pictures of the last of wild flowers and dry fields.

To be honest, I have a bit of love-hate feelings for the above photos. Whilst I am admiring the composition with so much blur in the foreground and background with dreamy vibe all around, I don’t like the thumbnails so much because they looks like underexposed images :/
I had interesting pair of lenses with me on this walk. For some reason, I had taken the vintage OM mount Olympus 135mm f3.5 lens. On my Olympus EM1 ii, the focal length of 135 x 2 =270mm is a bit too long, innit? It makes you struggle a little for composition, right?
Luckily, I had my TTArtisan 35mm f1.4 as well.

The “mood” struck in whilst editing the recent photos, including the ones from today’s walk. The compositions put me in a dreamy and a bit of floopy mood, to be honest.
I have been honing my editing skills using Darktable and this amazing tool has some Fuji simulations that really helped me to get into the mood.

The post processing of images with Velvia simulations and tinkering with the bloom really jived with my mood of dreamy and a bit psychedelic.
