Last weekend, my wife and I went on a leisurely bike ride to the cute beach town of Dawlish in south west England. I would say that it is a short bike ride per British standards ( 45ish Kms circuit? ).
There was a nice warm start to the day with the golden sandy beaches looking especially beautiful.
You can see the town of Exmouth on the other side of Estuary. It is surprisingly long beach with plenty of quaint parts.
It is fun to play around with the in-camera colour schemes of my new old camera – Olympus om-d-em1 mark ii. It is still quite overwhelming for me. I’d go as far to say that this “pro” camera is almost wasted on me. Well, does not stop one from having fun with colours.
By the time we reached the town centre of Dawlish, the mood of the sea changed.
It did not stop children from coming out to the strand area and play with the wild waves crashing on the wall
I will say that it is much easier to shoot the shorelines and water than editing and getting the colours right as you had seen them. But it led me to read on so many modules that I had not touched before in the free tool of Darktable. Fun stuff.
